It's not Spanish. It's Southern beauty shop.

About this blog

This blog is about STORY. It’s about books, about reading, writing, and about finding the story in one another–and finding God’s story in everything. It’s there. We just have to stop long enough to hear it.

You can read a few of my thoughts on other people’s stories through my book reviews.
You can read a few of my own stories.
You can read stories about friendships, forgiveness, trust, a few just for fun, and other topics. Just check out the labels.

I grew up in the South where storytelling is a high art form. It goes like this. You sit around a table and someone starts things off. That first story reminds someone else at the table of a similar story which, of course, tops the first one. Before you know it, the stories get a little wilder and taller by the minute, but so do the laughs. And once in a while, a little bit of truth comes peeping through.

Enjoy these stories, and when it’s your turn–speak up. Everyone has a story to tell.

  2. Hi Kay,

I came across your Facebook page and noticed you have a blog! It’s been forever but I just wanted to say hello. Your blog is great, I love all the travel pictures and inspirational content. Plus I’m always looking for a good book review – I’ve attempted a few on my blog. I hope you are doing well!

    • Candace! What a nice surprise to see your smiling face! I have a crazy day today, but I can’t wait to come home and read your blog. I took a quick peek just now–but I should be getting ready. (I saw enough to see that you liked Eat, Pray, Love. I don’t care if it’s cliche either. I loved that book.) I’m looking forward to catching up with you. You look as beautiful as ever. xo
